Join YWCA Richmond for our new sexual violence prevention program!  WholeSomeBodies is for adults who have children and youth in their lives—such as parents, teachers, coaches, and mentors. Through this course, participants will:

  • Increase their knowledge of healthy sexuality
  • Increase their skills and motivation to model and teach healthy sexuality to the youth and children in their lives

Throughout WholeSomeBodies, participants will use their own experiences as a starting place to think about, discuss, and learn about approaches to supporting healthy sexuality with the children and youth in our lives. We will push out the problem of sexual violence with a solution as a we will ask ourselves: What behaviors do we want to see, what skills do we want to have, and how do we cultivate those behaviors in ourselves and the people around us?

This program will be presented in a series of four, 2-hour workshops on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 pm. Workbooks and resources will be provided to participants. Workshops will happen on:

  • April 13 from 4:00-6:00 pm
  • April 20 from 4:00-6:00 pm
  • April 27 from 4:00-6:00 pm
  • May 4 from 4:00-6:00 pm

*Due to the nature of this program, we will have to cap the participant list to 15 participants & then start a waitlist.

All sessions will take place in-person at the YWCA Richmond (6 N 5th St. Richmond, VA 23219). Participants will be required to wear a mask during workshops.
