As part of the programs YWCA Richmond has prepared for the Domestic Violence Awareness month, we are offering a free training opportunity for everyone who wants to learn, connect with our staff, other partnering agencies and community members, as well as having a thought-provoking discussion at a confidential and safe space.
Next October 30th (Thursday) and October 31th (Friday), we will facilitate a Domestic Violence 101 workshop where participants will learn how to identify the most common warning signs of abusive relationships, the cycle of abuse and the barriers that prevent people from leaving an abusive partner. Participants will also learn how to respond to abusive situations and how to support survivors. State and local resources will be shared at the end of the training.
Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the training.

Como parte de los programas que YWCA Richmond ha preparado para el mes de Concientización sobre Violencia Doméstica, estamos ofreciendo una oportunidad gratuita de entrenamiento para todo el que quiera aprender, conectarse con nuestro personal, otras agencias aliadas y miembros de la comunidad y tener una conversación reveladora en un espacio seguro y confidencial.
El próximo 30 de Octubre (jueves) y 31 de Octubre (viernes), estaremos ofreciendo un taller de Violencia Doméstica 101 en el que los participantes aprenderán a identificar las señales de alarma más comunes de una relación de abuso, el ciclo de abuso y las barreras que impiden que una persona deje a una pareja abusadora. Los participantes también aprenderán a responder a situaciones abusivas y cómo apoyar a los sobrevivientes. Al final del entrenamiento, compartiremos recursos locales y estatales.
Los participantes recibirán un certificado al final del curso.
