COURAGE TO BEGIN AGAIN MINDFULNESS WALK
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).
Join YWCA Richmond in partnership with City of Richmond, The Foundation for Art and Health, Inc., Rising Up Now and Richmond Urban Collective for the inaugural Courage to Begin Again Mindfulness Walk for a stroll alongside the beautiful Capital Trail to raise awareness and promote healing for sexual assault survivors, their families, and advocates. Come for mindful movement, creative activities, and community resources.
DATE & TIME: Saturday, April 11, 2026
Walk begins at 9:30 am. Community activities are open from 9 am to 12 pm.
PARKING
Please utilize available city parking that serves you the best. Some of the closest options are the Great Shiplock Park lot, street parking in Shockoe Bottom or Dock Street parking lot.
REGISTRATION
Registration is FREE, but required to receive an event t-shirt.
By taking part in this walk, you agree to do so at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and physical condition. Please ensure you are fit to participate, stay hydrated, and take breaks as needed.
