EMPOWER & TRANSFORM
YWCA Richmond's campaign to expand the path to equity and opportunity.
The Empower and Transform Campaign will enable YWCA Richmond to expand The Sprout School and transform our historic building.
An investment in YWCA Richmond will provide the foundation to expand current programs and establish future programs that empower women and eliminate racism.
The Empower and Transform Campaign will:
- Relocate the Sprout School to Bainbridge Street to increase the number of families we work with, expand into infant care, and sustain our current operations while expanding into new locations.
- Transform the 5th Street building into a Center for Empowerment to improve access to resources and programs.
We will expand the path to equity and opportunity
$5M will restore YWCA Richmond’s 5th Street building to meet the growing needs of families, clients, and community partners. The transformation will include:
- The Center for Resilience to provide domestic and sexual violence resources
- The Center for Engagement for women’s leadership programs
- The Center for Equity to increase workforce development and serve as space for community partners
